• Q:  How do you make the midi-light work in Pro Tools ver. 6.4 (PC)
• A:  The files needed in Pro Tools are available on their website at http://www.digidesign.com/download/controllers/.
   
• Q:  Can the Merlin 1 recording light be used with the "control I/O" D-sub port found on various TASCAM recorders?
• A:  No.  Merlin 1 uses only a standard MIDI port found on many different brands of equipment.
   
• Q:  How can I use the Tascam FW1884 control surface/interface?
• A:  Use one of the drivers for the US428, CS10, or CS32.  You have to be able to assign the drivers to the midi port on the FW1884, otherwise it won't work.  Download and install one of the drivers and then assign that driver to a midi out channel.
